齿轮

I want to liken my father and mother to a pair of gears to understand how they interact with each other and how their marriage changes them. Gears engage with each other, and so do they. Although there are times when they have disagreements, their relationship is co-dependent. They shape each other into the weirdest beings that nobody else could fit. Somehow, they brought me up well, and so did my pet cat, Chaochao. I guess that is a kind of magic that belongs to them. When they started spinning, my home clattered to life.

我把我的爸爸妈妈做成了一对齿轮，年少的时候我花了很长时间来理解他们亲密关系的运作逻辑，齿轮靠着吻合的轮廓可以转动，而我的家庭也是如此运作，但他们是一对异形齿轮。他们有自我，但也有着另一方的负形，长时间的磨合，他们互相把对方塑造成了最奇怪的，最需要的存在，以至于没有任何人可以与他们任何一个人适配。

但是他们还是把我的宠物超超带大，超超很可爱很健康，我也如此。我想，这一对齿轮一定是有什么魔力。当他们开始转动，我的家也就哗啦哗啦的开始运转。

这个作品参加了2023年国际动态艺术双年展，和曼哈顿下城文化委员会的开放工作室日。
