This sculpture depicts the imagery of the female kingdom of the sea, a realm one can encounter by traveling eastward for three days. A single female figure supports the entire island amid the sea.

In Greek mythology, there exists a woman's island called Limnos. According to legend, all the women on the island were abandoned by their husbands for Thracian women, and in retaliation, they murdered all the men on the island. Pliny the Elder, in his 'Natural History,' describes a remarkable labyrinth on Limnos that remains undiscovered in modern times.

Not coincidentally, the tale of the female kingdom of Rakshasa is documented in the 'Records of the Western Regions of the Great Tang Dynasty,' originating from legendary accounts of the Western countries. Perhaps the more familiar image of the female kingdom was later adapted and referenced in Pu Songling's 'Rakshasa Sea City' and 'Journey to the West.' Unlike the overseas fairylands of previous classical novels, the narrative tone of the 'Sea Rakshasa Women's Country' in China is more macabre from the outset, often featuring beautiful women who have transformed into spirits to lure others.

As a female creator, I am intrigued by the imagery of a female nation on an island. However, I am not a fan of the story of a beautiful woman becoming a symbol of lust. I aim to redefine this female island in the sea.
