The Garden of Forking Path

In 'The Garden of Forking Paths,' Borges writes about a man named Ts'ui Pên, who, in his old age, suddenly gives up something in search of a symbolic maze. This labyrinth serves as a garden and a novel, intricate with plots unfolding simultaneously in parallel times. For Borges, the vehicle of the garden is the text, guiding the plot through various forks, each filled with destiny and time. I was mesmerized by the maze of forking paths. I want to create a labyrinth as well, hidden in a certain kind of forked path. Similar to the Peach Blossom Garden or Penglai, it should be elusive, not to be found again. I aim to conceal the Land of the Eastern Maiden in a long corridor leading to two different paths—an asymmetrical entrance to this maze-like land.
